Manchester United defender Eric Bailly says that he feels "perfectly fine" despite being forced off the field for the Ivory Coast on Thursday.

Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has revealed that he feels "perfectly fine" despite being forced off the field during the Ivory Coast's international friendly with Belgium on Thursday night.

The 26-year-old appeared to be clutching the back of his leg before being replaced in the second half of his national team's clash.

A report claimed that the centre-back could now be facing three weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring issue, which would have ruled him out of United's upcoming games with Newcastle United, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.

However, Bailly has taken to social media to provide a positive update on his situation, posting the following message on Instagram: "Thanks for worrying about me. But I feel perfectly fine, just fatigue."

The Ivorian was handed a starting role against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League last weekend but could not prevent his side from suffering a heavy loss to Jose Mourinho's side.

Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will seemingly choose between Bailly and Victor Lindelof to partner Harry Maguire in central defence against Newcastle next Saturday, although Axel Tuanzebe is now fit after a long spell on the sidelines.
