How Manchester United could line up against Chelsea

Sports Mole looks at how Manchester United could line up for Sunday's FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea at Wembley.

Manchester United's focus switches from the top-four race to the FA Cup on Sunday when they travel to Wembley to take on Chelsea in the semi-finals.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side go into the match on the back of a 19-game unbeaten run across all competitions - their longest such streak since November 2010.

The Red Devils have also beaten Chelsea three times already this season and are the favourites to reach a record 21st FA Cup final heading into Sunday's blockbuster showdown.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how United could line up for the contest.

Both Solskjaer and Chelsea boss Frank Lampard must weigh up how much they want to rotate their squad for what is undoubtedly a huge match, but perhaps not top of their priority list with Champions League qualification also still hanging in the balance.

United's recent good form has largely been down to a deadly attacking unit, but the likes of Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and Bruno Fernandes could be afforded a rest for this one in order to keep them fresh for the final two games of the league season.

Solskjaer may be keen to keep at least two of the in-form quintet in his side, though, and Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba could be the duo to get the nod.

Odion Ighalo will hope to lead the line having scored in all four of his previous starts for the club, netting five times in that run, while Daniel James is also pushing for a start.

Nemanja Matic and Fred could also come back into the side, while Diogo Dalot will be hopeful of a rare appearance having been looked over in midweek as Solskjaer went for Timothy Fosu-Mensah at left-back against Crystal Palace.

That decision was imposed on United to a certain extent with both Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams sidelined and, while both remain doubtful for this one, Williams seems the more likely to recover from his facial injury in time to start.

The final change to the starting XI is likely to come in goal, with cup keeper Sergio Romero coming in for David de Gea.
