Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. LASK Linz

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Europa League fixture with LASK Linz.

Manchester United return to action on Wednesday night as they complete the formalities of their Europa League last-16 tie with LASK Linz.

Before the enforced break in action, United registered a 5-0 victory in Austria, effectively ensuring that the reverse fixture will be played out with minimal fuss.

Having recently completed a hectic schedule in the Premier League, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may be against taking risks on some of his most important players.

Ahead of the encounter at Old Trafford, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's latest injury and suspension news for a game which will be staged 10 days after their most recent outing with Leicester City.

Luke Shaw

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

While Shaw had hoped to return from an ankle injury before the end of the season, Solskjaer has recently suggested that the left-back is unlikely to feature again until the beginning of the next campaign, ruling him out of the latter stages of the Europa League.

Axel Tuanzebe

Status: Out
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: Unknown

Having sustained an unspecified injury, Tuanzebe will not come back into contention until the beginning of September, shortly before the start of the new Premier League campaign.

Phil Jones

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: August 5 (vs. LASK Linz)

Solskjaer has previously revealed that Jones will not return to training until the back end of July. Barring any late issues, the centre-back may be provided with some minutes on Wednesday night, having failed to make an appearance since January 26.

MAN UTD'S SUSPENSION LIST

United have no players suspended for this contest, nor who are one yellow card away from picking up a one-match ban.
