Manchester City will reportedly pay as much as £90,000 of Joe Hart's £120,000 weekly wage in order to secure him a loan move away from the Etihad.

Manchester City will reportedly pay up to 75% of Joe Hart's weekly wage in order to secure him a loan deal away from the Etihad before the transfer window closes on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old has dropped down to number three choice keeper under new City manager Pep Guardiola following the arrival of Claudio Bravo from Barcelona earlier this week.

As a result Hart has been told that he can seek a new club and, according to The Mirror, City are prepared to subsidise as much as £90,000 of his £120,000 weekly wage in order to make the move happen.

David Moyes's Sunderland have emerged as the surprise frontrunners to sign Hart, with an effectively weekly wage of just £30,000 comfortably within the club's financial means.

Hart appeared to bid farewell to City supporters after the side's Champions League victory over Steaua Bucuresti at the Etihad on Wednesday night.
