Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly keen to bring Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta to the Etihad Stadium.

The Spaniard has been a pivotal figure in the Catalan club's success over the years, having spent his entire career so far at the La Liga outfit

Iniesta has a packed trophy cabinet, which includes eight league titles and four Champions League trophies, but according to Calciomercato, Guardiola wants to lure him away from Camp Nou.

The Italian media outlet claims that the City manager, who worked with the midfielder across a four-year spell at Barcelona, has contacted the 33-year-old in an attempt to persuade him to move to the Premier League.

Iniesta, who broke into Barca's first team in 2002, has one year left on his current contract.
