Juventus confirm that they have agreed to terminate the contract of Dani Alves, who will reportedly sign a deal with Manchester City.

Juventus have confirmed that they have agreed to terminate the contract of defender Dani Alves.

The Brazilian full-back still had 12 months remaining on his existing deal, but he has been heavily linked with a reunion with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

During his time in Italy, Alves made a total of 33 appearances in all competitions and helped the club to the league and cup double before Juventus suffered defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

Earlier this week, the 34-year-old apologised to Juventus fans for wanting to leave Turin a year early, but insisted that the transfer was not motivated by the wages he could receive at the Etihad Stadium.

City are in the market for full-backs, with Pablo Zabaleta, Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy all being released at the end of the last campaign.
