Wilfried Bony says that he is "excited" to return to Swansea City in an Instagram post which has since been deleted.

Wilfried Bony took to Instagram to send a message to Swansea City fans ahead of his official return to the club.

The Ivory Coast international is believed to have undergone a medical earlier today after the Swans agreed a £12m fee with Manchester City.

Bony left the Liberty Stadium to move to City in January 2015 for a reported £25m figure, but he failed to make an impact, starting just 15 Premier League games and scoring six times.

According to The Mirror, in an Instagram post, which has since been deleted, Bony could be seen signing his contract and he added the caption: "THANK YOU TO THE FANS OF @mancity & @stokecity YOUR SUPPORT HAS HELPED ME THE LAST FEW YEARS. EXCITED TO BE BACK HOME WITH @swansofficial."

Bony was much more prolific during his first spell at Swansea, scoring 35 goals in 70 outings.
