Barcelona reveal that they "have the beginning of an agreement" with Manchester City over the transfer of Chilean goalkeeper Claudio Bravo to the Premier League club.

Barcelona have revealed that they "have the beginning of an agreement" with Manchester City over the transfer of goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.

New Citizens boss Pep Guardiola has reportedly earmarked the 33-year-old Chilean as a necessary replacement for Joe Hart, who has lost his place in the club's first team to Wilfredo Caballero.

Barca technical secretary Robert Fernandez told Spain's TV3: "We have the beginning of an agreement in principle with Manchester City for Claudio Bravo.

"We need to sign a goalkeeper. We are awaiting events this week. When Claudio leaves, we hope to have a new goalkeeper."

Guardiola has overseen vast change since taking over at the club this summer, already spending around £150m on new players including John Stones, Leroy Sane, Gabriel Jesus and Nolito.
