How Manchester City could line up against Brighton & Hove Albion

Sports Mole looks at how Manchester City could line up in Sunday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Manchester City head into Sunday's clash with Brighton & Hove Albion knowing that a win will secure their fourth Premier League title.

City have won their last 13 Premier League matches, but only lead second-placed Liverpool by a single point ahead of the final set of fixtures in England's top flight.

Despite the incredible form shown by Jurgen Klopp's side, the title is in City's hands and they will make it back-to-back championships with a victory at the Amex on Sunday afternoon.

Any slip, though, would open the door for Liverpool to snatch the trophy as an incredible race draws to a close. Here, Sports Mole has taken a look at how City could line up this weekend.

Out: Fernandinho (knee), Claudio Bravo (Achilles)
Doubtful: Kevin De Bruyne (hamstring)

City boss Pep Guardiola has already ruled Fernandinho out of this weekend's contest. Indeed, the knee problem that the Brazilian picked up against Manchester United last month will make him unavailable for selection once again.

Kevin De Bruyne, however, has a chance of being fit. The Belgium international has been on the sidelines since picking up a hamstring injury against Tottenham Hotspur on April 20, but has an outside chance of featuring.

City's only other first-team absentee is Claudio Bravo, who is continuing his recovery from an Achilles operation.

It seems likely that Guardiola will keep with the same XI that started the 1-0 win over Leicester City on Monday night - that would mean another start for Phil Foden, with Vincent Kompany, who scored a stunner against the Foxes, also keeping his spot at the back.

Bernardo Silva and Raheem Sterling should again support Sergio Aguero in the final third, with Ilkay Gundogan holding the midfield in the absence of Fernandinho.
