Reports claim that Valencia want Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini to become their new manager at the end of the season.

Valencia have reportedly approached Manuel Pellegrini as they prepare to appoint a new head coach this summer.

Gary Neville replaced Nuno at the helm earlier this season, but the former Manchester United defender struggled to make his mark at the Mestalla and was relieved of his duties at the end of last month.

Pako Ayestaran is currently in charge of first-team affairs at Valencia, although it is understood that the board will appoint a new manager for the 2016-17 campaign.

According to various reports in England, Pellegrini has emerged as Los Che's leading target, with the Chilean due to leave Manchester City at the end of the season.

The 62-year-old, who led Man City to the 2013-14 Premier League title, has previously managed Villarreal, Real Madrid and Malaga in Spain's top flight.
