Leeds United will reportedly win the race to take Manchester City youngster Lukas Nmecha on loan for the season.

Leeds United will reportedly win the race to take Manchester City youngster Lukas Nmecha on loan for the season.

The 19-year-old, who has featured in City's pre-season outings this summer, is also allegedly a target for West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City.

However, according to The Sun, Nmecha will take a trip across the Pennines to West Yorkshire, making the same move as fellow City youngster Jack Harrison.

The newspaper says that Leeds will win the race for Nmecha due to City boss Pep Guardiola's admiration of Marcelo Bielsa, with the Spaniard allegedly happy to allow his young talent to develop in Yorkshire.

Nmecha's final appearance before leaving on loan could be in Sunday's Community Shield clash against Chelsea.
