Sergio Aguero admits that he would not be surprised if he was dropped from the Argentina squad after missing a penalty against Paraguay.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has admitted that he would not be surprised if he was dropped by Argentina in the nation's next round of World Cup qualifiers.

The 28-year-old has gone five qualifiers without scoring a goal after missing a penalty in last night's 1-0 defeat to Paraguay.

At club level, Aguero has scored 11 times in eight games for City, but he has admitted that he is lacking form on the international stage.

According to the Manchester Evening News, when asked if he would surprised if Edgardo Bauza left him out of the squad for upcoming qualifiers, Aguero said: "No, because I'm not doing things right. If I'm not in the next squad, I'll take it in the best way."

The striker is expected to be included in City's Premier League match against Everton on Saturday.
