Celtic winger Scott Sinclair says that his side learned from their 7-0 defeat to Barcelona and put the lessons into practice during their 3-3 draw with Manchester City.

Celtic winger Scott Sinclair has said that his side took lessons from their 7-0 drubbing at the hands of Barcelona into their second Champions League group game against Manchester City this evening.

Brendan Rodgers's side responded to their heaviest ever European defeat with a thrilling display at Celtic Park that saw them become the first team to prevent City from winning under Pep Guardiola.

The Bhoys took the lead on three separate occasions before eventually being held to a 3-3 draw, and Sinclair credited the fans for spurring them on to a memorable point.

"The fans were right behind us and the atmosphere was unbelievable. That's what spurred us on. We kept going, going forward and creating chances," he told BT Sport.

"We keep improving. We learned from the Barcelona defeat. We took the negatives out of it and performed tonight."

Celtic, who now turn their attention to Saturday's match against Dundee, will face Borussia Monchengladbach in their next Champions League outing on October 19.
