Swansea City are reportedly considering a move for former Liverpool centre-back Martin Skrtel, who currently plays for Turkish side Fenerbahce.

Swansea City are reportedly considering a summer move for former Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel.

Skrtel ended an eight-year stay at Anfield when he joined Fenerbahce last summer, but he has now been linked with a return to the Premier League after just a season away.

The 32-year-old is contracted to the Turkish outfit until 2019, but Fotomac claims that he could be sold in order to ease Fenerbahce's financial worries.

Swansea reportedly want to use the money generated from the sale of Bafetimbi Gomis to fund their move for the Slovakian centre-back.

Skrtel made 47 appearances across all competitions for Fenerbahce last season but is thought to be open to the idea of leaving the club this summer.
