Liverpool could be set to bolster their defence further with the addition of Brazilian left-back Henrique Dalbert from French club Nice.

Liverpool have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Nice left-back Dalbert Henrique.

The Brazilian made 38 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and assisting nine in the process, as the Eaglets won a Champions League place by finishing third in Ligue 1.

Liverpool have reportedly been in a battle with Inter Milan for the 23-year-old's signature, but according to Calciomercato, the Serie A giants have pulled out of the race.

The report goes on to suggest that Nice chiefs will not let Henrique depart the Allianz Riviera for under his contract release clause, which stands at €30m (£27m).

Liverpool have already bolstered the left side of their defence this summer with the arrival of Andrew Robertson from Hull City.
