Jurgen Klopp declares that Liverpool are still active in the transfer market as they look to add "one or two" new faces to join Sadio Mane, Loris Karius and Joel Matip.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he is hopeful of shipping out a few players before the transfer window closes to make way for "one or two" new faces.

The Reds have so far brought in Sadio Mane, Marko Grujic, Loris Karius and Joel Matip this summer, while Jordon Ibe and Martin Skrtel have moved in the opposite direction.

With more than five weeks of the window still left to run, Klopp is predicting some further incoming and outgoing activity as he looks to shape Liverpool into a potential title-challenging side.

"A few things will happen I am pretty sure," Goal.com quotes the German as saying following the 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic. "I don't know exactly what, but on both sides it makes no sense to stay in the squad and be in the squad when you don't have a real opportunity to play.

"When there's no chance to play, it makes absolutely no sense to stay. The players are young - we will not loan out our very young players, absolutely no chance.

"We have a few players, maybe who want to leave us and I am pretty sure it will happen - and one or two more players will join us from other clubs. It's a long time until the 31st of August and we have to work a little bit."

Liverpool, who finished their maiden Premier League campaign under Klopp in eighth place, begin their new season with a trip to Arsenal on August 14.
