Philippe Coutinho plays down transfer rumours by insisting that he is "happy" playing under Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

Philippe Coutinho has responded to rumours regarding his Liverpool future by claiming that he is "happy" playing under manager Jurgen Klopp.

The Brazilian, who joined the Reds from Inter Milan in 2013, has been linked with a summer transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.

Barcelona have also been credited with an interest in Coutinho, who will not be playing European football with Liverpool next season following the club's eighth-place finish in the Premier League.

The 24-year-old, though, has suggested that he may stay put at Anfield after praising his manager.

"I am grateful for everything Liverpool has done for me," the Liverpool Echo quotes Coutinho as saying. "Am I happy there working under Klopp? It's clear, he's great."

Meanwhile, Coutinho's campaign with Brazil at the Copa America came to an end last night after the team were eliminated by Peru in the group stages.
