Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has donated £41,000 to help fight coronavirus in his homeland of Senegal.
The donation, worth 30 million CFA france, will help fight the virus after 27 cases were confirmed in the country.
Two of those have already made a full recovery but Mane's contribution will boost the containment of the virus.
Mane, 27, is currently following a personal training regime at home after all activities at Liverpool's Melwood training base was suspended voluntarily.
In a video shared on social media, Mane urged his fellow countrymen to take the issue "extremely seriously". Mane's Reds teammate Alisson Becker has also promoted key messages by supporting the World Health Organisation's #SafeHand initiative - encouraging people to wash their hands properly
The league leaders are yet to announce a confirmed case of COVID-19 but have taken precautionary measures while Premier League fixtures are suspended.
