Jurgen Klopp admits that Liverpool were "not perfect" in their meeting with Swansea City but was delighted to leave South Wales with all three points.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he was pleased to see his players up their performance levels following a "static" first-half showing against Swansea City.

The Reds trailed to Leroy Fer's close-range strike eight minutes in until goals from Roberto Firmino and James Milner, the latter from the penalty spot, helped earn the visitors a 2-1 victory in South Wales.

Liverpool have now won four games in succession in the Premier League to climb into second place in the table, with Klopp putting his side's latest success down to their ability to recover from an early setback.

"I thought we could have done better in the first half," he told Sky Sports News. "Our body language was not good, we were static and it was easy to defend against us. We are not as good as we should have been.

"You have to show why we are here. We showed a reaction, were more organised, clear in all situations and we deserved to win. Of course I am happy we have had two or three brilliant games in a row. All is good. The performance was not perfect but it was good enough today."

Liverpool are back in league action in two weeks' time when playing host to rivals Manchester United at Anfield.
