Bournemouth defender Steve Cook backs teammate Harry Wilson to impress at parent club Liverpool in the future.

Bournemouth defender Steve Cook has suggested that Harry Wilson has all of the attributes to impress at Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp has allowed Wilson to spend the season at the Cherries, where he has contributed seven goals from 23 appearances in the Premier League.

With the Wales international having made a positive impact during his time at the Vitality Stadium, Cook has backed the playmaker to continue his progress when he makes his return to Anfield.

Speaking to the Bournemouth Echo, Cook said: "I'd love him to be a Bournemouth player. Young, hungry, got goals, a lovely left foot – potentially he is a very good Liverpool player.

"Hopefully he can produce his best obviously for us now in the last nine games, because he can't play this week, and maybe he'll become a Bournemouth player, who knows.

"It's very difficult for me to say what he's going to do, but I think he's left himself in a very good position to prove himself that he can play for Liverpool."

Wilson has a contract with the Premier League leaders until the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
