Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker opens up on his first two months at Anfield and says that he has learned from his error against Leicester City.

Alisson Becker has vowed not to make the same mistake twice after admitting that his first couple of months as a Liverpool player has acted as a big learning curve.

The Brazilian goalkeeper has conceded just twice for the Reds in six Premier League matches since arriving from Roma in a £67m transfer in July.

Boasting a reputation as a keeper who likes to use his feet, the 25-year-old was caught out in the 2-1 win over Leicester City as his dribble cost Liverpool the first of those two conceded goals this term.

Alisson is happy with his development at Anfield so far, however, and has denied suggestions that he often produces tricks and flicks for the cameras.

"The secret of the wise man is to learn from the errors of others," he is quoted as saying by The Telegraph. "Unfortunately, in the Leicester game it was my error. I am more mature today, so I deal better with the mistakes than the many times when I locked myself away and wanted to be alone. But if you look at my professional history as a goalkeeper, I am not somebody who makes many mistakes.

"My game is characterised by consistency. That is what has brought me to Liverpool. I like to make simple saves. I don't make saves for the camera. If the ball is in front of me, I won't dive. If it's to the side of me, I will dive to the side. My saves are not to show off or Hollywood saves for the camera. I take risks with the ball at my feet because I am waiting for options.

"I am waiting for the centre-backs to produce an option, I'm waiting for the full-backs to appear, hoping that a space for a pass will appear at the last moment. That's what happened in the Leicester game. I do know now I should have taken the option of kicking the ball into the stands. In that situation, I was left with the only option to dribble and the ball held up in the grass.

"I was pushed from behind as well. That was a real learning curve for me about the Premier League. Here, the referees maybe don't call the fouls that you would expect to get in other leagues. Today, I will take less risks. When the options aren't appearing I will clear it into the stands or play a long ball up front."

Liverpool have the best defensive record in the top flight, while Alisson's four clean sheets is also a league high.
