Liverpool's transfer targets for next season.

Liverpool have undoubtedly had a fantastic season so far and look set to make history by winning their first Premier League title and their first League title in over 30 years. But they might still think they need some reinforcements, especially as they've become very reliant on a core set of players.

Some say retaining the title is as hard as winning it for the first time, or even harder. There'll be the team to beat for everyone, and they'll also be fighting on a number of fronts. The African Cup of Nations might also put a spanner in their works, with a few of their top names not being available for a while in Salah, Mane and Keita. So who could Liverpool be looking to reinforce with for the next EPL campaign? In this article, we're going to look at a few key positions that could need bolstering as well as some potential candidates.

And remember, Liverpool should also be playing in the newly rearranged World Cup Cup next season as well. They'll need more quality as well as more depth for that after another long domestic and European campaign. Good news is that you can bet on these transfers as well. If you'd rather play casino games instead of bet on transfer targets, this 10CRIC Casino Review will be good to go.

So who might Liverpool's transfer targets be for next season?

First let's look at where they might need new players.

Reserve Goalkeeper
Let's face it, Liverpool have struggled with backup keeper Adrian. He's been at fault for a few of their defeats this season. They could do with a new one.

Forward
While they've got arguably the best front three in the league with Firmino, Salah and Mane, this can always be improved. Especially as they don't have much depth or competition there, and as mentioned the Africa Cup of Nations will leave them depleted.

Midfield
Again, Liverpool tend to stick to the same three in midfield and this could do with some depth. They tried to improve with Naby Keita but this arguably hasn't really worked out.

Defence
While nobody can debate Van Dijk's place in the center of defence, you might argue he needs a stronger partner. Or at least backup for when Matip or Gomez aren't available.

So who could they sign?

Mbappe
This would be one of the biggest transfers of all time, and one of the most expensive. But there are rumours that Liverpool might be about to compete with Real Madrid for the World Cup winner.

Sancho
Jadon Sancho has been impressing many for Dortmund in the Bundesliga this season, but he also wants to return home to England. Again, this would arguably be the biggest transfer of the summer if it happened as well as potentially the most expensive signing involving an English player ever. How much might it cost for Liverpool to buy Sancho?

Maddison
James Maddison has impressed many for Leicester this season, but he might want a move to an even bigger club and they don't come much bigger than Liverpool. With Henderson getting older and Liverpool in need of some midfield depth, Maddison could be the player they've been looking for.

Abdoulaye Doucoure
This one is a bit of an outside choice, but Doucoure has recently been impressing for struggling Watford. He used to be known as a deeper midfielder but has also shown he can play well further forward. This versatility along with his physicality could be what Klopp's been looking for.

Who do you think Liverpool might sign in the next transfer window? There are lots of choices, and also lots of positions that need filling.
