Winger Sadio Mane claims that Liverpool are capable of defeating any team in the world after setting up a Champions League final meeting with Real Madrid.

Winger Sadio Mane has suggested that Liverpool will not be intimidated by taking on Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

On Wednesday night, Liverpool succumbed to a 4-2 defeat to Roma at the Stadio Olimpico but the result was still enough to secure a 7-6 aggregate success over the Italian outfit.

Jurgen Klopp's side will now take on the defending champions in Kiev at the end of the month, and Mane has said that the Premier League side are capable of defeating any team in world football.

The 26-year-old is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "If you have Real to face you have to think about them - they are one of the best teams in the world.

"We are Liverpool, we are strong and we can beat any team in the world. We are going to do our best to go and win the final."

Mane has scored nine goals in 10 matches for Liverpool in Europe this season.
