Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp invites future player Naby Keita to meet his teammates earlier than planned at the Champions League final in Kiev on May 26.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told Naby Keita that he is welcome to attend the Champions League final in Kiev later this month as a guest of the club.

Keita will join the Reds on July 1 after reaching an agreement with current club RB Leipzig last summer, but he may now have the chance to meet his future teammates earlier than planned.

Liverpool will face defending European champions Real Madrid in the Ukrainian capital on May 26, and Klopp has invited the Guinea international to the game as the Reds go in search of their sixth European title.

"Bringing him in the dining room and saying: 'Boys, he will play for you next season!' doesn't really make any sense. It's not my first problem, but I will think about it," Klopp told reporters.

"I have not been thinking about things like this, but if Naby is reading this and he wants to come with us to the final, he is invited! Hopefully, Naby will have a big effect on the team immediately because of his quality.

"This was a difficult season for Naby in Germany, and for Leipzig, in general but he still had outstanding performances. Maybe not the same number as last year, but the whole Leipzig team didn't do exactly the same as last year either.

"But one thing for Naby and us is that he doesn't play in the World Cup so he will have a full pre-season which will help him a lot to prepare for the season with us."

Prior to facing Real Madrid, Liverpool must take on Chelsea this afternoon and then Brighton & Hove Albion in their final game of the campaign.
