How Liverpool could line up against Porto

Sports Mole looks at how Liverpool could line up for Wednesday's trip to Porto in the Champions League.

Liverpool are on course for back-to-back last-four appearances in the Champions League as they take a 2-0 lead to Porto for the second leg of their quarter-final.

The Reds picked up a comfortable victory on home soil last week, but they still have work to do against a Porto side with a 100% home record in this season's competition.

Jurgen Klopp's side followed up their win against the Portuguese outfit with a triumph by the same scoreline against Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday, leaving them fighting it out for two major honours in the final weeks of the season.

Ahead of their midweek trip to the Estadio do Dragao, Sports Mole looks at how Liverpool could line up.

Klopp can welcome back Andrew Robertson for this second leg after the full-back was forced to sit out the reverse fixture through suspension.

There is also a decision to be made over who partners Virgil van Dijk at the back, with Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip alternating recently. Matip got the nod against Chelsea so Lovren could return here.

Henderson limped off during the second half against Chelsea, meanwhile, and he is considered doubtful for Wednesday's match. Klopp does not believe the injury is anything serious, but he is unlikely to take any risks with so many options in that area of the pitch.

Georginio Wijnaldum is the obvious like-for-like replacement to the right of Naby Keita and Fabinho, though James Milner is also pushing for inclusion.

Despite facing a trip to Cardiff City in their latest Premier League title test on Sunday, changes are unlikely to be made to the front three, each of whom were on target in Liverpool's 5-0 win at this ground last season.
