Roma reportedly fail to reach Leicester City's £50m valuation for Riyad Mahrez, but further talks are planned.

Roma are reportedly still falling short of the £50m fee that Leicester City want for Riyad Mahrez, but more talks have been planned.

The Algerian international revealed at the end of last season that he has asked to leave the Foxes.

Roma seem to be leading the race for Mahrez's signature, but recent reports have claimed that the Premier League winner would prefer to join Arsenal.

According to the Daily Mail, the Serie A club have tabled £30m including add-ons and the club's sporting director Monchi is expected to hold further talks with Leicester chairman James Pallota in Boston this week.

The report adds that Arsenal and Liverpool want to be regularly informed of the situation surrounding Mahrez's future.
