Leicester City reportedly fail with an offer of £1m for Sheffield Wednesday forward George Hirst.

Sheffield Wednesday forward George Hirst has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Leicester City.

Over the past six months, the Foxes have been in the market for players who they can continue to develop at the King Power Stadium, and it appears that their latest target is 18-year-old Hirst.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Wednesday have decided to reject an offer in the region of £1m for his signature.

The teenager has already made two appearances for the Owls, with his last outing coming in December, and he has been tipped to have a big future at Hillsborough.

Leicester could potentially return with an improved bid for the England Under-18 international, but it will likely take a much higher offer to tempt the Championship outfit into a sale.
