Leicester City announce the signing of Hull City goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic on a three-year deal.

Leicester City have announced the signing of goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic from Hull City for an undisclosed fee.

The 32-year-old, who left the Tigers' training camp in Portugal to finalise the move, has signed a three-year contract at the King Power Stadium.

Jakupovic was Hull's longest-serving player following his 2012 from Aris, but he has now closed the curtain on a five-year stay.

The Swiss shot-stopper faces big competition for the number one spot at Leicester due to Kasper Schmeichel standing in his way, but he is relishing the challenge.

"I'm very happy and excited that the deal is finally done. I'm very excited to be a part of something special here and I can't wait for the first game," Jakupovic told LCFC TV.

"I knew from the beginning that it will be difficult for myself because Kasper is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League.

"I'm going to fight and I'm here to push. A healthy competition is always good and that's only a positive thing. For sure, I'll wait for my chance but I am here and I'm very excited."

Jakupovic, who made 22 Premier League appearances last season, will join up with his new teammates on their pre-season tour in Hong Kong this week.
