How social media has remembered Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha

The Leicester owner died in a helicopter crash.

There was widespread grief in the world of football after it was confirmed that Leicester owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha died in a helicopter crash outside the King Power Stadium on Saturday night.

The club issued a statement late on Sunday confirming Srivaddhanaprabha and four others were killed when his helicopter fell from the sky and burst into flames at the south east end of the stadium, shortly after the 1-1 draw with West Ham.

Here is a look at how Leicester’s players and the world of football reacted to the news.

Dear Mr Chairman It is very difficult to find the right words, as I am completely devasted. You are the father of our club, our family, you have helped all of us to achieve our dreams. Life will be completely different without you😔😔 You were a generous man, kind man who had always a smile. My heart is broken as we love you like a dad.
