Ex-Leicester City striker and supporter Gary Lineker speaks of his emotion following the club's Premier League title triumph.

Gary Lineker has conceded that he was overcome with emotion following confirmation that Leicester City had been crowned champions of England for the first time in their history.

Lifelong Leicester fan Lineker started his professional career with the Foxes, for whom he scored 95 league goals.

Speaking after the triumph, which defied pre-season odds of 5,000-1, Lineker told BBC Sport: "I can't think of anything that surpasses it in sporting history. It is difficult to put over in words.

"I got emotional. It was hard to breathe. I was a season ticket holder from the age of seven. This is actually impossible."

Lineker, 55, is now expected to present an episode of Match of the Day in his underwear, having vowed to do so a few months ago if Leicester went on to win the league.
