Leeds United manager Garry Monk says that his side will bounce back from their 3-0 defeat at Queens Park Rangers.

Leeds United manager Garry Monk has insisted that his side will bounce back from their opening-day defeat to Queens Park Rangers.

The Whites were thumped 3-0 in the Championship fixture at Loftus Road, but the former Swansea City boss has promised fans a response in their next game.

"It's important that we learn from today and move on quickly. It's not the start that we wanted," Monk told reporters.

"The first half wasn't good enough, the second was better but still not our best. It's a young group that will improve.

"Today is not going to define our season. We'll see a reaction in our next game."

Nedum Onuoha opened the scoring for QPR before Tjaronn Chery added a second from the penalty spot and Sebastian Polter completed the rout in stoppage time.
