Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici reveals that his club have made an enquiry for Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi.

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has revealed that his club have made an enquiry for Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi.

Icardi, whose current contract with Inter will expire at the end of the 2020-21 campaign, has scored 15 times in 28 appearances in all competitions during the 2018-19 campaign.

The 25-year-old was stripped of the captaincy last week, however, amid reported interest from the likes of Real Madrid.

Icardi has since been left out of Inter's last two squads against Rapid Vienna and Sampdoria, leading to suggestions that his time at San Siro is coming to an end.

Paratici has confirmed that Juve would be interested in signing the Argentina international should he become available at the end of the season.

"We asked for info. We wanted to know what Icardi thinks about playing for Juve. But now there are no contacts, he's an Inter player and we are thinking about our season," Paratici told Rai Radio1.

"Lately there has been no contact, we are in February, he is an Inter player and we have important races ahead of us. It's a theme that we will come back to, or not, in June."

Icardi has scored 122 goals in 210 games for Inter since arriving from Sampdoria in 2013.
