Inter Milan chief executive Giuseppe Marotta reiterates that Mauro Icardi will not be sold at the end of the season, despite Juventus confirming their interest.

Inter Milan chief executive Giuseppe Marotta has criticised Juventus counterpart Fabio Paratici for his "inappropriate" comments regarding the champions' interest in Mauro Icardi.

Paratici confirmed earlier this week that Juve have made contact with their Serie A rivals over a possible deal for Icardi at the end of the season.

The prolific striker has been stripped of the Inter captaincy and pulled out of the squad last week following a breakdown in contract negotiations.

Juve are looking to pounce on the uncertainty surrounding the Argentina international's future, but Marotta is not happy about the way they are going about their business.

"We're not going to sell Icardi," he told Rai Radio 1. "We believe he's a great player who's done well for Inter and who will do well in the future.

"As for what Paratici said, I think the same answer applies to [Paulo] Dybala - we'll see what he does in June. What Paratici said was inappropriate."

Icardi, who has 15 goals in 28 appearances this season, is due to be out of contract with Inter at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
