Juventus missed out on the chance to book their place in the last 16 of the Champions League after sharing a 1-1 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach this evening.
Mahmoud Dahoud had struck the bar for the Germans early on, before Fabian Johnson drilled in a low strike to give them the lead.
With a minute of the first half remaining the Bianconeri equalised when the returning Stephan Lichtsteiner was found at the back post by Paul Pogba, before volleying a strike into the corner.
However, Juventus found themselves down to 10 men shortly after the break as Hernanes was shown a straight red card for a two-footed tackle on Alvaro Dominguez.
Monchengladbach came close to a late winner when Thorgan Hazard's curling effort was tipped onto the bar by Gianluigi Buffon, but the Old Lady held firm to leave Germany with a point.

They should also come into the match with plenty of confidence, after a last-gasp victory over city rivals Torino at the weekend.

It was looking like a miserable season after they lost their opening five matches, but a brilliant six-game winning run has lifted them into the Bundesliga's top five.

Giorgio Chiellini is also back for the hosts after missing the Turin derby, but Sami Khedira misses out with a calf strain.
7.33pmMeanwhile, the hosts have started with the same team that beat Hertha Berlin at the weekend. Their leading marksman Raffael was among the scorers at the Olympiastadion, and he is chosen to lead the attack alongside Lars Stindl.

The Old Lady have already lost four games in Serie A this season, but Juan Cuadrado's stoppage-time winner helped seal a 2-1 victory over Torino on Saturday evening, that could prove to be a major turning point.

In those games, they have fired in 21 goals and are on course to mount another challenge for a European spot.
7.42pmIt was just a couple of weeks ago when these two teams met in Turin, and there was very little to shout about. The match ended in a goalless draw, with few talking points or major incidents. Paul Pogba came closest to scoring with a couple of long-range efforts, but apart from that it was a frustrating night for all involved.

2 minCHANCE! It's been a bright start by Juventus and they very nearly take the lead in the second minute. A free kick is not dealt with by the Monchengladbach defence, and when it drops to Evra inside the box, the Frenchman fires narrowly over the bar.
5 minThe hosts show their threat for the first time, with Traore leading the charge through the midfield. He has Raffael to his left, and looks to slide the Brazilian into the box, but his final pass is too strong and forces the striker wide, with Juventus eventually winning the ball back.
8 minMonchengladbach have come into the game now and their supporters are making plenty of noise inside the ground. They are also looking a real threat on the counter attack, and at the moment they are finding a lot of space through the middle to advance.
11 minUPDATE! Here's some big news from this evening's other Group D match. Manchester City have raced into a 2-0 lead over Sevilla, with Raheem Sterling and Fernandinho both on target. If that scoreline stays the same, then a win for Juventus this evening will secure their place in the last 16.
13 minOFF THE BAR! Monchengladbach are inches away from taking the lead, as Dahoud crashes in a stunning drive that has Buffon beaten all ends up, before it smacks off the top of the bar. That would have been a wonderful goal from the young German, who has won plenty of admirers over the last year.
16 minHaving endured a shaky start to the match, the hosts are now on top and looking a real danger every time they come forward. Juventus have struggled to get on the ball, with Pogba and his fellow midfielders giving it away rather cheaply.

18 minMonchengladbach have started the game well and they have been rewarded with the opening goal. It's a huge mistake from the visitors though, as Chiellini gives the ball away to Raffael on the edge of his own box. The Brazilian then slides in Johnson, who keeps his cool to drill a low strike across Buffon and into the far corner.
21 minCHANCE! The Germans almost grab a second as this time Pogba loses the ball in the midfield. They then break quickly, with Traore played in down the right, but his low delivery back across the box is blocked behind for a corner.
22 minSAVE! From the resulting corner, the ball is played short to Traore, who comes inside and curls in a strike with his left foot that looks as if it will dip under the bar, before Buffon gets back to touch the ball over the top.
24 minSHOTS! The confidence is flowing through Monchengladbach and they are not content with their one-goal lead. They also conjure up another two strikes on goal, with Nordtveit drilling a low effort straight at Buffon, before firing high over the bar from range moments later.
26 minCLOSE! For all of Monchengladbach's fine play this evening, they should be pegged back as Chiellini rises above everyone to meet a corner. The defender then guides his header towards the bottom corner, but the ball goes inches wide of the post, with Sommer only able to look on helplessly.
28 minSHOT! The chances keep on coming as down the other end of the pitch Xhaka is found in acres of space outside the box. He then crashes in a drive with the outside of his right foot looking for the top corner, but it fails to trouble Buffon and ends up going over the bar.
30 minJuventus are coming back into the match now and they have seen the ball in some advanced areas in recent moments. Evra has also looked to help his team going forward, and after combining well with Pogba down the left, he flashes a low ball across the six-yard box that is just beyond the reach of his teammates.
33 minThe momentum is swinging back in favour of the Bianconeri and they aren't losing the ball as poorly as they were earlier in the match. They still haven't shown too much threat in the final third, with Cheillini's header the closest that they have come to scoring.
36 minUPDATE! The goals are continuing to fly into the net over in Spain, as Manchester City have just gone 3-1 up over Sevilla. Benoit Tremoulinas had pulled one back for the hosts, but Wilfried Bony's effort has restored City's two-goal lead.
39 minSAVE! What a brilliant save this is from Sommer to keep the hosts in the lead. Evra leaps above everyone to meet a free kick at the back post, but the Swiss keeper is down quickly to stretch out a big hand and turn the ball behind for a corner.
41 minSHOT! We haven't seen too much of Morata this evening, and the Spaniard does little to help his team's cause with a long-range curling effort that goes well over the bar. He has been quiet and Allegri may be thinking of bringing on Mandzukic to add some threat to their attack after the break.

The Swiss international is picked out at the back post by a stunning pass from Pogba, before keeping his eye on the ball to fire a volley beyond Sommer and into the corner. It was a brilliant goal from the visitors, in what has been a superb first half.

The hosts made the most of some poor defending from the Old Lady to take the lead through Fabian Johnson's strike, but a wonderful goal from Stephan Lichtsteiner means that it is all to play for in the second half.

8.38pmAnybody who watched the goalless draw between the teams last month will tell you that this evening's clash could not be any more different. Instead of a tight and cagey affair, it has been wide open, with both teams creating plenty of chances and finding the back of the net.
8.42pmManchester City are still leading 3-1 against Sevilla, and as things stand, they will close the gap on Juventus in the Group F table to a single point. If both games finish as they are now, then City and Juve will be able to book their spots in the last 16 by playing out a draw when they meet in Turin later this month.
46 minRESTART! The hosts take the kick off for the second half and get the match back underway.
47 minCLOSE! Pogba almost gives Juventus the lead moments into the half as he is teed up by Morata, before bending a low strike towards the far corner. The shot had the keeper well beaten, but it heads a few inches wide of the post.
50 minSHOT! Juventus have taken control of the match now and Morata sees his low effort deflect narrowly wide of the target. Pogba is also dominating the midfield and he looks the most likely to be involved if his team are to score again.
53 minRED CARD TO JUVENTUS! Having been in firm command, the visitors are reduced to 10 men as Hernanes goes in with a high two-footed lunge on Dominguez. It was a horrible challenge by the Brazilian and he can have no complaints about being shown a straight red card.
56 minYELLOW CARD! It's another card for Juventus, as Marchisio is shown yellow for clipping the legs of Stindl in the centre of the pitch.
59 minAlthough a win will ensure their passage to the last 16, I'm sure that Juventus would be happy with a point now. They are being pegged back deep inside their own half by the Germans, but with the likes of Pogba on the pitch, they still have plenty of quality to even win the match.
60 minCLOSE! Morata wins a free kick after going down just outside the box and Pogba comes across to take it. The Frenchman then bends in a strike that clips the wall and deflects inches wide of the post. There were many fans in the ground who thought that had ended up in the back of the net, but it's just a corner for the Old Lady.
63 minSUB! Juventus make the first change of the match, with Dybala heading off to be replaced by Cuadrado, who bagged the winner in the Turin derby at the weekend. Dybala is also shown a yellow card as he leaves the pitch, for walking off too slowly.
64 minSHOT! The Germans have their best opening of the second half as Johnson is picked out with a low cross from the left. He then catches the ball on the half-volley and fires it goalwards, but once again the shot is too high and gives Buffon no problems.
67 minSHOT! Monchengladbach create another chance with Dahoud working space to shoot just outside the box. His low drive doesn't look like causing any trouble, but it takes a nasty deflection off Chiellini that forces Buffon to carefully watch it all the way and eventually make the save.
67 minYELLOW CARD! A third Juventus player is shown a card this evening as Sturaro is booked for fouling Johnson.
68 minSHOT! The home side are starting to pile on the pressure now and Xhaka unleashes a swerving drive from long range. It has plenty of dip and is heading for the bottom corner, but Buffon gets across to scoop the ball behind.
71 minSAVE! Buffon is forced into making another save when Johnson is picked out by a long ball over the top, before squeezing in a shot from a tight angle. There seemed to be better options on for the American, as the keeper was not going to be beaten at his near post and eases the ball behind with his legs.
75 minSUB! It's a second change of the match for the visitors, with Barzagli coming on to shore up the defence in place of Morata.
77 minSAVE! This is surely the chance that Monchengladbach have been waiting for. Stindl races into the box to meet a floated cross from Dahoud before powering in a header, but from point-blank range Buffon is down quickly to block with his feet and keep Juventus on level terms.
80 minJuventus are hanging on now as we enter the last 10 minutes, but there are few teams better equipped to play for a draw against the odds. They have shown over the years their quality at the back and their experience will be vital in the final stages here.
83 minIt's still all Monchengladbach, but they are finding it hard to break down a stubborn Juventus defence. They are sure to get at least one more big chance in the final minutes, but all their best efforts in this second half have been denied by Buffon.
