A report claims that Ipswich Town could move for combative midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe following his release from Fulham.

Ipswich Town are reportedly lining up a move for Ryan Tunnicliffe following the midfielder's release from Fulham.

The 24-year-old joined Fulham from Manchester United in the summer of 2014, but the Englishman ended last season on loan at Wigan Athletic after struggling for action at Craven Cottage.

Tunnicliffe has now left Fulham following the expiration of his contract, and according to The Mirror, Ipswich are interested in bringing the combative midfielder to Portman Road ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

Tunnicliffe, who only made two first-team appearances during his time at Man United, has previously represented Ipswich, featuring 29 times for the club during a loan spell in the 2013-14 campaign.

A number of other Football League teams are also said to be closely monitoring developments.
