Nottingham Forest plotting bid for Ipswich Town's Martyn Waghorn?

Nottingham Forest are linked with a summer bid for Ipswich Town striker Martyn Waghorn.

Nottingham Forest are reportedly lining up a summer bid for Ipswich Town's Martyn Waghorn.

According to The Mirror, Forest boss Aitor Karanka is planning to raid Portman Road for the former Rangers hitman.

Waghorn impressed during his first season at Ipswich, finding the net 16 times in 47 games for the Tractor Boys.

The 29-year-old was also in good goalscoring form for Rangers before returning to England, having netted 44 times in two seasons for the Glasgow giants.

Karanka is said to have prioritised signing a centre-forward this summer as he takes charge of his first pre-season with Forest.
