Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen signals his intention to start more games for Inter Milan following a lack of playing time under Antonio Conte.

Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen has admitted that he is growing impatient over a lack of game time at San Siro.

The former Tottenham Hotspur man made the switch to Antonio Conte's side in January and has chalked up 28 appearances thus far, but Eriksen has only turned out for the full 90 minutes three times for Inter in all competitions.

Furthermore, Eriksen was only brought on as a substitute in I Nerrazurri's victory over Benevento at the end of September, and the Denmark international has now sent a clear message to Conte over his situation.

"I don't want to sit the bench for [Inter] the whole season," he said while on international duty. "I hope this isn't the coach's or the club's intention. It is going to be a busy season, lot of games in the programme, I expect to play.

"It's never nice to sit the bench and one tends to be less patient as his experience grows. There are many expectations on me, people thought I'd do the difference in every game, but it didn't happen.

"That's why they are looking at me with different eyes. I've had highs and lows after the lockdown. I had a great start with Inter after I arrived and now I am living in a new situation."

Eriksen is currently on international duty with Denmark, where he scored his side's second from the penalty spot in a 4-0 friendly victory over the Faroe Islands on Wednesday.
