Hull City announce the signing of Czech Republic defender Ondrej Mazuch from Sparta Prague for an undisclosed fee on a two-year deal.

Hull City have completed the signing of Czech Republic defender Ondrej Mazuch from Sparta Prague for an undisclosed fee.

The 28-year-old centre-back has been on trial with the Tigers during their pre-season training camp in Portugal and played in both of their games, against Benfica and Nantes.

Speaking after signing his two-year deal, Mazuch told the club's official website: "Of course I am very happy to sign the contract with Hull because it has always been my dream to play in England.

"I'm delighted the club have given me this fantastic opportunity and I would like to thank everyone who has helped me to make this transfer. Now the deal has been finalised, I can't wait for the new season to start."

Hull have so far signed Fraizer Campbell and Liam Edwards on free transfers, along with Liverpool's Kevin Stewart, while Chelsea's Ola Aina has signed on loan.
