Hull City are reportedly interested in appointing Wales coach Chris Coleman as the club's new manager.

Wales coach Chris Coleman has reportedly emerged as a candidate for the vacant position at Hull City.

Last week, the Premier League side announced that Steve Bruce had resigned from his role at the KC Stadium and it has previously been claimed that Roberto Martinez is the frontrunner for the job at the newly-promoted side.

However, according to BBC Sport, Coleman's success with Wales at Euro 2016 has resulted in the Tigers hierarchy making a move to try to tempt him back into club football.

Coleman has previously insisted that he would remain as coach of his national team throughout their qualifying campaign for the 2018 World Cup and there has been no suggestion that he is interested in making the switch to Humberside.

It has been claimed, however, that Hull are keen to speak with him as they look to move forward with their preparations for the new campaign, which gets underway with a home fixture against champions Leicester City on August 13.

Head Coach Bob Bradley of the United States watches his team lose to Spain at Gillette Stadium on June 4, 2011 in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
