Huddersfield Town are reportedly on the verge of signing Copenhagen defender Mathias Jorgensen.

Huddersfield Town are allegedly on the verge of signing Copenhagen defender Mathias Jorgensen.

The Denmark international has undergone a medical with the Terriers and is about to complete his £3.5m move, according to The Sun.

Jorgensen would join a growing list of new signings at Huddersfield, with the Premier League newcomers having already brought in Laurent Depoitre, Aaron Mooy, Tom Ince, Danny Williams, Montpellier striker Steve Mounie and Jonas Lossl on loan from German club Mainz 05.

David Wagner's Huddersfield, who won promotion to the top flight via the playoffs last term, are expected to formally announce their new signing within the next 24 hours.

Jorgensen has won seven caps for the Denmark national team.
