Huddersfield Town confirm that goalkeeper Jonas Lossl's loan move has been made permanent.

Huddersfield Town have confirmed that they will make goalkeeper Jonas Lossl's loan deal permanent at the end of the season.

The 29-year-old joined the Terriers on a season-long deal from German side Mainz 05 last summer and has since gone on to be an ever-present for the club in their debut Premier League season, keeping eight clean sheets.

The Denmark international will now become a permanent member of David Wagner's squad on July 1 after the option to buy clause in his contract was triggered.

"The fact that Jonas will join the Club permanently in the summer is excellent news for Huddersfield Town, following on from the boost that Florent Hadergjonaj will also become a full-time Terrier last week," Wagner told the club's website.

"We knew that Jonas had big quality when he joined us on loan and that has certainly proven to be the case. The quality of his distribution has been perfect for the way we play, but he's also made big, big saves at important moments. I also think we've seen him improve as the season has gone on.

"He's been a huge part of our season so far, on and off the pitch, and I'm sure he'll continue to be as we aim to retain our status in the Premier League."

Huddersfield are currently 15th in the Premier League table on 31 points with eight games of the season remaining.
