Every football fan will agree, no matter what team he or she favours, that there's nothing like catching a match in the stadium.

Every football fan will agree, no matter what team he or she favours, that there's nothing like catching a match in the stadium. The roar of the crowd, the fights that break out, the feeling of unity for a beloved sport. In reality, watching a match in person isn't always viable, but it doesn't mean you shouldn't give up on supporting your favourite team.

Whether you are a diehard Manchester United fan or have been faithfully cheering on Leicester City ever since they were the Underdogs of Football, there are ways to enjoy the match and the spirit of the crowd. Need to go on holiday, have the in-laws visiting, or just need to get some housework done? No worries, here are a few ways to show your support and enjoy the excitement of the match:

Stream Online
If you've been a football fan for years, you may have noticed it's much easier to catch a match than it used to be. In the past, you probably had to head to the neighborhood pub, buy a pint, and hope that they were tuned into the match you wanted to watch. While there's nothing wrong with meeting up with like minded fans over a pint or two, you can end up spending more money than you intended.

These days, you can catch the match or any others around the world through streaming sites. There's no need to park in front of the telly, all you need is a good internet connection and a device to watch the match on (such as a smartphone, tablet, or laptop).

When you're searching for streaming sites online, you'll notice that there are several for free. Read user reviews and do a little research before selecting one. You may notice that many sport streaming sites have U.S. and other international games, in addition to UK matches. Although this may make your search even more difficult, it may also be a plus if you're a global sports fan.

Sports Betting
Betting on your favourite team can be a fun way to show your support for your team and make a little money as well. Sports betting has become more convenient and mobile than ever before. Rather than tracking down an agent, you can do all your betting online from the comfort of your own home or even while traveling in a taxi. After your winning team put a little extra back in your wallet, why not try out your luck by finding some of the best online games in the same place you found the place to make a bet!

When you are unable to watch a match online or catch it in person, interactive forums can be almost as good as being there. Since forums are updated frequently and consist of a diverse group of fellow football fans, posting pictures, video clips, and opinions, it's a good alternative to sitting at the pub or gathering around with friends over the match.
