Richie Wellens is another manager who has decided to leave one club in favor of a new challenge elsewhere as he decided to drop down from League One's Swindon Town and head to League Two and take over former club Salford City. The manager had led the Robins out of the division last season but a poor start in England's third tier has perhaps made the decision for him a little easier to return to Salford.

Forest Part With Sabri Lamouch and Wellens replaces Graham Alexander at Salford City
Nottingham Forest decided to sack Sabri Lamouchi at the beginning of October as their poor form from last season continued into the current campaign. The Tricky Trees looked to be a playoff contender for much of last season but a drastic turn in form saw the club freefall down the league table. The club have since acted and decided to replace him after a total of 466 days.
Wellens will replace Graham Alexander at Salford City in an initial decision that shocked much of the football community in England. The former boss had been rather successful with the Moor Lane club in his 882 days in charge as he led them to League Two in his first season in charge before taking them to the EFL Trophy Final last season. This year, he was unbeaten in the first five games and was sitting fifth in the table before being acrimoniously sacked by the owners.
Graham Coughlin was sacked as manager of Mansfield Town after 315 days in charge, as The Stags have had a poor start to the League Two campaign. Things had not been going great at the Field Mill outfit, though, as he had only just managed to keep them in the Football League prior to the premature ending of last season, so perhaps his sacking was inevitable?
Michael Jackson was the latest man to have lost his job, as Tranmere Rovers decided it was time for something new at the end of October. Whilst Halloween can be a spooky time of year, Jackson probably was not expecting to be given that kind of fright. He lasted just 105 days in charge before being handed the news that he would no longer be needed.
