Clubs that have evaded defeat across Europe's top five leagues so far this season

We look at the four clubs across Europe's top five leagues that have not yet tasted defeat this season.

The year's football season has begun in all its glory. With action-packed performances, shocks, surprises, suspense and a lot of excitement, soccer fans are glued to their TV screens as their favourite clubs compete across Europe's top five leagues.

Victory and defeat is the part of the game, and teams continue to smother the opposition or lay their backs to the ground. There are hardly any clubs from the elite division of Europe leagues that haven't been on both sides of the game. This unpredictability is what keeps the fans on their toes and bettors fixated to live soccer odds.

But that's usual - what is there to discuss? Interestingly there are a few teams this season that managed to evade defeat so far on the domestic front. Spread across top five divisions of the continent, let's check out the clubs that are yet to taste disappointment.

4. Real Madrid

Last season was full of disappointment for Real Madrid. An underwhelming outing in all competitions put the all-time favourite team in a fix with the fans. Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari struggled to make the team perform, and Zinedine Zidane's failed to provide relief. Madrid ended their campaign on an embarrassing note.

To start on the right foot this season, the Spanish club took their chance in the transfer market and spent over €300m to form a formidable team. Luring in the likes of Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy, Eden Hazard, Takefusa Kubo, and Rodrygo, Real Madrid can improve their La Liga situation. How the new players perform in the Champions League is a different story, but for now, the team enjoys the top slot in the La Liga table.

Of the eight matches that Real Madrid played so far in the season, the team put the opponents to the sword in five games while three matches ended in a draw. Zidane's men have been able to give defeat a miss so far, making Madrid one of the four teams that are yet to taste a defeat.

3. Wolfsburg

VFL Wolfsburg is a team that has managed to defy every odd so far in the league and amazed us with their no-defeat performance. For a team that had average success last season finishing sixth on the chart, Oliver Glasner's men have shown tremendous determination this season from the beginning.

Yet to taste the defeat this term, the team has gone to become one of the only four teams this season in Europe's top five leagues with all wins. Starting their season with a 2-1 victory against FC Koln, Wolfsburg has only gone stronger with every match. In their last seven games, the team has recorded four wins and three draws. With such impressive performance, it's no surprise that VFL Wolfsburg is at number two with 15 points on the Bundesliga table.

What the future holds for Wolfsburg remains to be seen, but the astounding performance so far makes us applaud their determination.

2. Liverpool

There were millions of fans who were left in tears when Liverpool lost the Premier League title to Manchester City last season. It was a harrowing experience even for the non-Liverpool fans, but the team shows no remorse of the past as they charge ahead in the league this season.

What do the Reds do after a narrow defeat like the last season finale? They become a ruthless, unstoppable mean machine that earns a 100% start to their Premier League championship. Of all the eight games played so far, Liverpool has won all, scoring 20 goals and conceding only six. If that's not the most impressive performance of the season, then what is?

Sitting at the top of the English table with 24 points, it seems the Reds will make history in the EPL this season (fingers crossed). The level of game and performance Liverpool is showing, and the momentum they have gained in the last eight games makes us wonder whether this could be the season when the streets of Merseyside welcome the coveted crown.

1. Juventus

Juventus is a club that has been hogging the limelight for sacking their ex-manager Massimiliano Allegri this summer, giving a clear message. The Series A giants mean business and are not afraid to take hard actions to make a change. Maurizio Sarri, who replaced Allegri, is allegedly here to coach the team to a Champions League win this season, yet the domestic level exploits of Juventus this season has gained everyone's attention.

The Bianconeri have made their performance speak as they evaded defeat until now in spite of the level of competition and intensity present in the Serie A tournament. With a brilliant season start, the team has won six games of the total seven played of which the recent debacle of Inter Milan at their hands for 2-1 was marvellous.

Juventus sit at the top of Serie A ranking with a total of 19 points. Sarri's men are on fire, which is why they have scored 13 goals and conceded only six.

Like every other soccer fan out there, we are excited to be part of the thrilling season and waiting to see how the coming days turn out for these four stubborn winners of the season.
