Nine reasons why no sport in the world is better than football

There has been a lot of debates on which sports is the most popular in the whole world. While some may argue that basketball or the American football takes this position, they have to realize that these are mostly regionally loved sporting activities. Those who are fans of worldwide sports will always oppose people in the camp above.

Football is a very global game, which connects almost all humans on the planet, and in this article, we have succeeded in coming up with the 8 best most compelling reasons why football is the best sport in the world.

1. Exhilarating to Bet On
Being able to bet on a football match is the perfect way to synergise watching your favourite team and potentially making a little bit of extra money in the process, making that crucial win even more sweeter. Many sportsbooks now offer their players an online casino where you can enjoy real money casino games. Finding a platform where you can play at new casino sites and be able to place bets on the beautiful game can prove to be quite lucrative, if you're lucky.

2. Relegation
The concept of relegation is one of the most unique concepts in world football. In most of the top flight leagues in the world, the three clubs that finish at the bottom of the table go down to the lower division. They are not rewarded with a high draft pick, the same way American football does. When clubs end within the ranks of the worst in the world of football, they suffer the relegation pain. The relegation system is a unique one, and because of that, games between two clubs that are placed at the bottom of the table are normally very intense and worth the while.

3. Promotion
In the spirit of rewarding excellence, clubs earn promotion to the top flight when they do well in the lower division. As against relegation, promotion could mean everything to a club in the lower division. For some clubs, they'd rather qualify for top flight football in their country through promotion than earn a spot in continental competitions. That's how important this is.

4. Open Criticism of Owners
While only the popular and vocal owners of teams like Dallas Cowboys' Jerry Jones receive attention in American football, world soccer or football fans know the owners of each club and hold them accountable whenever things go wrong with their loved team. There has never been a season where fans did not at one time or the other lash out on team ownerships. Recently, Blackburn, Liverpool and Arsenal football club owners have seen fans protest against them. Those of Liverpool and Blackburn were so strong that the entire world of football noticed. You won't see much of that in American football, and so fans are not able to speak out as they might want to.

5. Transfer Madness
The transfer seasons are some of the most interesting seasons in world football. This happens twice every year and involves a very huge madness and frenzy surrounding who is buying who, and who is signing for who, as against the free agency policy that is obtainable in American football. World football also has free agents anyway, but they are just a few players that are mostly above their prime. The lucrative deals involved in these transfers in world football sees clubs paying huge amounts to purchase players. Some recent examples of such huge deals involve Chelsea's purchase of Kepa Arrizabalaga and recently Kai Havertz, Real Madrid's buying of Philippe Coutinho and Eden Hazard and PSG's purchase of Neymar and Mbappe.

6. Volatility of the Post of Managers
One of the hardest and most insecure jobs in the world is the position of a football manager. The game is about results, and managers who fail to produce them are sacked. It is difficult to find managers lasting more than three seasons in teams these days, and the good ones are in very high demand. Chelsea, and recently Barcelona, are the teams with the highest change in the position of managers within the past 20 years. When clubs start losing, the players' positions are secured; it's the manager that is sacked. Arsenal and Manchester United had the longest serving managers in Arsene Wenger and Alex Fergusson. But since the departure of the duo, the clubs have had at least two managers each.

7. Domestic Competitions
In every country where football is a strong sport, there are cup competitions for clubs within the country. This happens in different levels of the sports in many countries, and it is normally very competitive. The most famous of this is England's FA cup, which has lasted for many years and which involved up to 750 clubs last year. In the domestic cup competitions lower league, clubs are able to play against top flight clubs and get the chance to try and defeat them if they can. These upsets that happen from time to time are normally orgasmic, and they are some of the aspects you won't get in American football. Think of a club with a squad that is worth 10 million pounds defeating a club whose squad is valued at 100 million pounds.

8. Continental Competitions
Any continent that it's constituting countries play football has a continental club competition meant to show who the best in the entire continent is. The UEFA Champions League is the most famous of this type of competition, though many of such exist in other continents. They are found in Asia, North America and Africa, and they are named Champions League in these continents. However, the only one that goes with a different name is the Copa Libertadores by CONMEBOL. The level of rivalry involved here has not been witnessed in any other sports at all.

9. Derby Madness
The derby matches are the most passionate ever in the world. Because of derbies, we can say that all football matches are equal, but some are more equal than others. This normally involves clubs from the same city or state, or the biggest clubs in a country. The contest involved in derby matches is normally very hot, whether it is happening in North London, Istanbul, Nigeria, Rio De Janeiro or wherever.

These matches are circled on the calendars by football fans, and the adrenaline that it comes with is almost always out of this world. The real hatred between rival clubs is hugely shown here, as the bragging rights are always at stake. The passion, drama, tension and entertainment is normally unequaled by any sports in the world.
