Paris Saint-Germain right-back Thomas Meunier suggests that he is ready to quit the club in search of more regular playing time, with Everton a possible destination.

Thomas Meunier has admitted that his Paris Saint-Germain future is "complicated" and has hinted at a possible move to Everton at the end of the season.

The Belgium international has struggled to oust Dani Alves at right-back this term, starting a combined 13 matches in Ligue 1 and the Champions League.

Manchester United and Chelsea have both shown a rumoured interest, but the 26-year-old has suggested that he would prefer to join a club of the stature of Everton, Borussia Dortmund or Valencia.

"From a personal point of view, this season has been quite complicated," he told RTBF. "Compared to the game time received last year, I've only played about 15 times.

"There is a bit of frustration. I want to play. What I want is to play football. I still have two years left of contract in Paris and my goal is to stay in Paris. We like it a lot."

Asked if he is happy to 'go down a notch' when seeking a move away, Meunier added: "What does that mean? It's playing in a club in the style of Everton, Valencia or Dortmund.

"[International teammate] Michy Batshuayi made a very good choice by going there. The pleasure is to play football and that's what I miss for now."

Meunier has also previously been linked with Real Madrid and Juventus after struggling for minutes at the Parc des Princes.
