Young striker David Henen cuts short his loan spell with Fleetwood Town and heads back to parent club Everton.

Fleetwood Town have announced that David Henen has returned to his parent club Everton with immediate effect.

The 19-year-old had been due to remain with the Cod Army on loan until the end of the season.

However, the forward's stint with the League One club has been cut short.

"The club would like to thank David for his efforts whilst at Highbury, and wish him all the best for the future," read a statement on the club's official website.

Henen scored just once from his 13 appearances in all competitions for Fleetwood.
