Everton midfielder Tom Davies says that boss Marco Silva will help him develop into the player that he wants to be at Goodison Park.

Everton midfielder Tom Davies has predicted that boss Marco Silva can only aid his development at Goodison Park.

Davies had already played under two different managers in the Toffees first team, with Silva becoming the third after replacing Sam Allardyce in the summer.

The England Under-21 international has only been used off the bench this season, but the youngster feels that he will get chances to impress by the Portuguese.

The 20-year-old is quoted by the Liverpool Echo as saying: "The way the manager plays suits me and the way he wants me to play is how I like to play and see the game.

"It's high tempo. He wants me to press, get forward, be a box-to-box midfielder. That's how I want to play, really, so it's good to have that sort of freedom and role in the team. It's something I'm looking forward to this year, developing into the player I want to be."

Davies has made 60 appearances in the Premier League since making his senior debut in April 2016.
