The Football Association is reportedly interested in speaking with Ralf Rangnick over the vacant managerial position with England.

Ralf Rangnick has reportedly emerged as a potential target for the Football Association as it looks to appoint a replacement for Sam Allardyce.

Earlier this week, Allardyce left his position after just one game after he was secretly filmed discussing ways to "get around" The FA's rules regarding third-party ownership.

Under-21 boss Gareth Southgate has been placed in charge for the next four fixtures but according to Sky Sports News, The FA is keen to speak with Rangnick, who was interviewed for the job after Roy Hodgson resigned in the summer.

The 58-year-old has managed a number of clubs in his native Germany and is currently the sporting director of Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.

During his time with West Bromwich Albion, FA technical director Dan Ashworth held talks with Rangnick over a potential move to The Hawthorns.
