England's win over Germany leaves Wayne Rooney "buzzing"

Injured skipper Wayne Rooney hails England's "spirit" following their 3-2 international victory away in Germany.

Wayne Rooney has heaped praise on his England teammates after they came from two goals down to beat rivals Germany in Berlin last night.

Goals from Toni Kroos and Mario Gomez either side of the break put the Germans in the ascendancy, but the Three Lions responded thanks to Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy and Eric Dier.

Captain Rooney missed the encounter through injury, but he took to Twitter to share his approval of the performance.

Rooney will also play no part when England take on Holland at Wembley on Tuesday night.
